Baltic - New England Development Network

Baltic - New England Development Network Inc. (BALTNET) is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Connecticut located in Hartford, the capital of Connecticut.

Mission - To promote collaboration between the Baltic States: Lithuania. Latvia, Estonia and New England: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont.

Main objectives of the corporation are to:

  • Facilitate and promote trade and investment between the United States and Europe;

  • Provide a forum for business or research/academic institutions;

  • Assist in networking and information exchange between the American and Baltic Countries business or academic communities and actively further the business, research or cultural interests of its members.

Board (as of May 28, 2026):

A vote was held to confirm the following Board positions:

  • President: Dr. Dalia Giedrimiene

  • Vice President: Ashley Kalinauskas

  • Treasurer: Sylvia Griffin

  • Secretary: Danutė Dmowski

  • Technical, Marketing & Communications Director: Erica Cordatos

  • Administrator: Laine Kingo

  • Emeritus Board Member: Valdis Vinkels

Additionally, Christian Allyn was unable to attend the meeting. The Board discussed the potential

appointment of Christian Allyn as Director of Political and Media Relations. A formal vote on this position

will occur at the next Board meeting.
